Do my recordings leave my iPhone?
No. Audio, transcripts and notes are made and stored on your iPhone. We have no copy and can’t recover them, so keep your iCloud Backup on or export what matters.

Why are there no notes, only a transcript?
Automatic notes need Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or newer, turned on in Settings › Apple Intelligence & Siri) and a language it supports. Transcripts, search and export work on other iPhones too. On the free plan, notes are included for your first three recordings; after that they’re part of Jotmatic Pro.

Can I change the type of a recording afterwards?
Yes. Open the recording, tap ⋯ › Make notes as…, and pick Meeting, Class, Interview, Note or Language lesson. The transcript stays; the notes are remade.

Does it work offline?
Yes, after a one-time download of Apple’s speech model for your language.

Can it record phone or video calls?
iOS doesn’t let apps capture other apps’ audio. Put your iPhone near the speaker, or use the iPhone’s built-in call recording.

Should I ask before recording?
Yes. In many places you need everyone’s permission to record a conversation.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Jotmatic Pro. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple.
